We are now in the final term of the year. Our theme is “Everything Changes”.Summer term is a fun term, with hopefully good weather. We will be learning about different types of weather. We are hoping for sunshine- which, of course, brings the need for safe sun preparation. We ask that children keep sensitive shoulders covered (no strappy tops), as we are outside most of the time, the children need closed toe shoes that can support their feet to run and climb. They need their own suncream- clearly labelled. They need a layer applied before school.
We will continue to grow and care for our garden, including growing seeds. We will learn about healthy eating- just like the hungry caterpillar did! Fruits and leaves helped him grow, ice cream and sausages gave him a stomach ache! The hungry caterpillar will be one of our stories, as will Red riding hood.
After our half term break we will learn about the different habitats of the jungle and ocean. We will also visit Caffyns farm again and meet lots of animals there.
Learning about God and our Catholic faith is important to us, and we will find out about the Holy Spirit and the early church.
This last term is important for our older children, as it’s time to ensure they are ready for their next stage of their educational journey.
Look out on tapestry and the website for more information on how to make sure your child is ready for school.
