Specific Support for Parents/Carers of Children with SEN

Provides children and young people who have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities and their parents/carers with legally based information about Education, Health and Social Care.

Here at DiAS we have a dedicated team offering legally-based and easily accessible information and advice about special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We support children and young people with SEND, and their parents and carers. Our service is impartial and confidential.

We can help you to:

  • Understand more about SEND support
  • Develop good relationships with professionals
  • Prepare well for meetings
  • Express yours and your child’s views
  • Understand the paperwork
